Donnie Rose, Sr. was born on April 10, 1950 in Hardin County, Tennessee, the son of the late Clantis and Sally Cummings Rose.
On December 22, 1990, he was united in marriage to Rebecca Kay Stricklin, who survives.
Donnie worked as a service technician for Ronnie Smith Chevrolet. He was a member of Mount Hermon Baptist Church in Savannah, Tennessee. He was the founder and past president of the Hardin County Saddle Club. Donnie loved horses, working on his farm, and gardening.
Donnie Rose, Sr. departed this life on September 7, 2023 in Olive Hill, Tennessee at the age of 73 years, 4 months, and 28 days.
He is survived by his wife, Rebecca Kay Rose of Savannah, Tennessee; daughers, Kelly Crowder and Jana Flatt; sons, Dustin Rose, Jeremy Fielder, Don Rose, Jr., and Anthony Rose; 9 grandchildren; 1 foster grandchild; and 4 great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Donnie was preceded in death by his brother, Gene Rose and sisters, Helen Bowling, Eirlon Scott, and Nila Mayhall.
