Don E. Paulson

Don E. Paulson of Florence, AL was born April 11, 1931 in Jamestown, KS, the son of the late Enoch Zankey and Thelma Crystal Sjolander Paulson. He was united in marriage to Bertie Ruth Kelley Moore on May 29, 1966. Mr. Paulson was a cast iron worker retired from J. B. Ehrsams and Sons in Enterprise, KS. He was a former resident of Jamestown, KS, Enterprise, KS, and Wayne County, TN and was a member of the Lighthouse Baptist Church in Florence, Alabama.



Mr. Paulson departed this life on January 7, 2013 at his home at the age of 81 Years, 8 Months, 27 Days.



He is survived by his wife, Bertie Ruth Kelley Moore Paulson of Florence, AL;

sons, Billy J. Moore and Dwain Moore both of Iron City, TN, Donnie Paulson of Guin, AL; daughters, Glenda Franks of Savannah, TN, Brenda Beckham of Leighton, AL, Vicky Durkin, Tobitha Bowsman of Aiken, SC; 27 Grandchildren, 29 Great-Grandchildren, a brother, Michael Paulson of Kingman, KS; sisters, Vyonne Barnes of Corvallis, OR, Lois Shepherd of Abilene, KS, Beverly Page of Soloman, KS; nieces and nephews.



In addition to his parents, Mr. Paulson was preceded in death by daughters, Wanda Sue Dixon, Shelia Ann Moore; daughter-in-law, Deborah J. Moore; grandchildren, Ronald James Parrish, Jessica Nicole Tripp, Daniel Russ Baskins; and brothers, Frank Paulson, Larry Paulson.



Services will be held on Friday, January 11, 2013 at 1:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors Chapel, Collinwood, Tennessee, with Bro. Michael Paulson and Bro. William Hamilton officiating. Burial will follow in the Macedonia Cemetery, Middle Butler Road, Iron City, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors, Wayne County, directing. Pallbearers will be Chris Odle, Eric Moore, Jason Parrish, Rusty Moore, Russell Moore, Cameron Paulson, Lance Tripp, and Michael Malone. Honorary pallbearers will be Jesse Bowsman, Caleb Bowsman, Jacob Bowsman, Wesley Dixon, Dale Odle, and Kelsey Moore.
