Dixie Marie Case

Dixie Marie Case was born September 17, 1940 in Leapwood, TN, the daughter of the late Hallie D. Pusser and Percy Maurie Dallas Pusser.

Dixie was united in marriage to John William Case on May 1, 1959. Their love story was one filled with devotion and warmth until Mr. Case preceded her in death on March 4, 2019.

Dixie was a proud member of the West Shiloh Baptist Church in Stantonville, Tennessee, where her spirit and kindness touched the lives of many. Throughout her life, she worked at Garan, Brown Shoe Company, and Sparko's, but her greatest fulfillment came from her role as a dedicated homemaker. Gardening was truly her passion and her most prized title; she had a remarkable talent for nurturing life from even the smallest twig.

Her creativity flourished in many forms. Dixie loved crocheting, sewing, and crafts, pouring her heart into each handmade piece. However, nothing brought her more joy than shopping, where she would often find treasures to share with her loved ones.

Dixie's heart was especially full when she spent time with her great-great-nephews and niece, whom she adored. She played a motherly role to several boys and girls, offering them love and guidance that will forever remain etched in their hearts. To some she was Aunt Dixie who gave the best hugs and pats on the back.

Mrs. Case departed this life on December 3, 2024 in Selmer, Tennessee at the age of 84 Years, 2 Months, 16 Days.

She is survived by a sister, Sandra Brush of Selmer, TN; two nieces, Amanda Miller and husband Eric, Michelle Hanna and husband Jeff; a nephew, Kevin Brush; great-nieces: and nephews: Randa Hawkins and husband JT, Kirby Brush and wife Macy, Kassy Twitty and husband Madison, Abbey Hester, Justin Hanna, Le Ann Gordon; great-great niece and nephews, John Thomas Hawkins, Hayes Henry Hawkins, Delta Brush, Declan Brush, Harrison Richard Twitty, Hulen Gordon, Hadley Gordon.
