DIANE HICKS
was born in Wayne County, Tennessee on December 12, 1957 the daughter of the late Wilbert Stricklin and Mary Lorine Brown Murphy.
Diane was of the Baptist faith. She was a great mother and never turned anyone away. Diane was a caring and sensitive person. She always thought of others before herself.
Diane departed this life on February 13, 2019 in Jackson, Tennessee at the age of 61 years, 2 months and 1 day.
She is survived by her children, James Adam Hicks, Gregory Lewis Gean, both of Savannah, Tennessee and Laura Faye Gray of Godfrey, Illinois; grandchildren, Tamara Sherrill, Scotty Sherrill, Harlee Sherrill, Lord Easterley, Toby Gean, Faith Gean, Anthony Gean, Michael Gean, Jr., and Timothy Hill,; great grandchildren, Colby Hill and Ryder Gean; sisters, Jennifer Murphy of Olive Hill, Tennessee and her children, Samantha Michelle Murphy and Dustin Murphy, both of Savannah, Tennessee and Rebecca Tilley of Savannah, Tennessee; brothers, Andy Stricklin, Wade Stricklin and Daniel Stricklin, all of Waynesboro, Tennessee; numerous nieces and nephews; and honorable uncle, Mr. & Mrs. Lewis (Sonny) Gean of Savannah, Tennessee.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her ex husband, Roger Wayne Hicks; stepfather, J.C. Murphy; brother, James Edward Murphy; grandparents, Elizabeth Brown, Floyd Brown, Glenn Stricklin, and Mollie Stricklin; and nephews, Michael Ray Gean, Jody Gean, and Cody Gean.
