Dewey E. Sullivan

Dewey Sullivan was born April 7, 1924 in McNairy County, Tennessee the son of the late Oce and Nancy Plunk Sullivan.He was united in marriage to Ruth Gann, who preceded him in death on December 30, 1975. On April 8, 1976, he married Lavon Jones. Mr. Sullivan was a retired timber cutter, and had served his country honorably in the United States Army during World War II. He was known as a hard worker who loved to spend time with his family. He also enjoyed fishing and hunting.Mr. Sullivan departed this life on February 22, 2008 in at the age of 83 Years, 10 Months, 15 Days. He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Lavon J. Sullivan of Bethel Springs, TN; two daughters: Shelia Kidd and husband Pete of Selmer, TN and Pam Dill and husband Kirk of Corinth, MS; three sons: Richard Sullivan and wife Vicki of Selmer, TN, Rickey Plunk and wife Dana of Adamsville, TN and Tim Sullivan and wife Teresa of Selmer, TN; two sisters: Tina Mae Beene of Memphis, TN and Pauline Brown of Bethel Springs, TN; 9 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. In addition to his first wife and parents, Mr. Sullivan was preceded in death by one brother and four sisters.
