DeweyThomas Horton of Cypress Inn, TN was born November 22, 1945 in Wayne County, TN, the son of the late Lee Washington and Evelyn Price Horton. He was united in marriage to Patricia Ann Walker on April 19, 1991 and she preceded him in death on October 5, 2009
Mr. Horton was a general laborer and a member of the Lindsey's Chapel Freewill Baptist Church in Florence, Alabama.
Mr. Horton departed this life on Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at Waynesboro Health and Rehabilitation Center in Waynesboro, Tennessee at the age of 72 Years, 4 Months, 19 Days.
He is survived by a sister, Mary Mable Clarke of Lexington, AL; a sister-in-law, Jean Horton of Madison, TN and nieces and nephews.
In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Horton was preceded in death by brothers, Leslie and Lester Horton.
A memorial graveside service will be held on Saturday, May 12, 2018 at 1:00 PM at Lindsey's Chapel Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery, Florence, AL on Alabama Hwy #157 one mile south of Cypress Inn, TN with Gene Kelley officiating. Burial of his cremated remains will follow with Shackelford Funeral Directors, Wayne County, assisting the family.
