Dewey B. Boykin

Mr. Dewey Boykin, age 70 of Bolivar, passed from this life Tuesday morning, February 28, 2012 at Bolivar General Hospital.
He was borin in Wilson, North Carolina January 2, 1942 to the late Almenta Bunn and Earnest Boykin. He moved to the Bolivar area in 1980 and worked as a sawmill worker.
He is survived by his long-time companion, Isabelle Jones of Bolivar; a stepdaughter, Debbie Jones of Adamsville; a daughter, Sherrie Boykin Ross of North Carolina; a son, Dewey Allen Boykin of North Carolina; a host of nieces of nephews; and three stepgrandchildren, Stephan Hall of Manchester, Shawn Kirby of Stantonville and Joshua Kirby of Selmer.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by three sisters, Ruby Blanche Boykin, Ethel Marie Boykin and Reddi Mae Boykin; and four brothers, Carma Wayne Boykin, Ralph Boykin, Bobby Ray Boykin and Joseph Boykin.
