Detrois Johnson was born in Savannah, Tennessee on August 26, 1926 the son of the late Bentley Elmer and Mabel Pauline Bivens Johnson.
On May 9, 1947 he was united in marriage to the former Mary Jo Brown, who survives. Mr. Johnson was a farmer and enjoyed raising a garden and giving his produce away to friends and family. He was a member of First Cumberland Presbyterian Church, where he was a Deacon, and he also attended Wesley’s Chapel United Methodist Church. Mr. Johnson lived in Hardin County all of his life.
He departed this life on October 18, 2005 at Tri-County Convalescent Home in Adamsville, Tennessee at the age of 79 years, 1 month and 23 days.
Mr. Johnson is survived by his wife, Mary Jo Brown Johnson of Savannah, Tennessee

5 great-grandchildren: Thomas, Kolby, Kaylee, Kelsey and Kendra;
5 step-great-grandchildren: Joshua, Ginna, Tyler, Rachel and Cameron;
One sister, Frances Johnson Stanford of Memphis, Tennessee
and one brother, Elton Johnson of Savannah, Tennessee.
