was born in Polk County, Florida on November 28, 1984 the son of Linda Faye Halpain Alley and the late James Baughn Alley.
He lived all of his life in Hardin County and worked as a roofer.
He departed this life on September 29, 2006 at the Regional Medical Center in Memphis, Tennessee at the age of 21 years, 10 months and 1 day.
Derrick is survived by his mother, Linda Alley of Morris Chapel, Tennessee;
2 sisters: Melissa Kay Scott and her husband, Steve Scott of Morris Chapel
and Tina Gail Alley of Morris Chapel; one niece, Vanessa Scott;
2 nephews: Dylan and Hunter Scott; his paternal grandmother, Lizzie Alley of Adamsville, Tennessee and his maternal grandmother, Winnie Parks of Hot Springs, Arkansas.
