Alamo, TN: Denny Ray Smith age 62 passed away March 22, 2020 at his home.
He was born November 1, 1957 in Bolivar, TN the son of the late Ambrose Denver and Pearl Addiese Ferguson Smith. He graduated Bolivar High school in 1975 and U.T. Martin in 1979 and Trinity University in San Antonio with a Master in Healthcare Administration. He married Karen McCall in 1979. They made their home in Birmingham for thirty plus years. He was a member of the Rocky Springs Primitive Baptist Church.
He had various and unique jobs in healthcare administration in Poplar Bluff, Mo and Birmingham and Camden, TN.
He married Virginia ‘Ginny’ Tucker Yadamec in 2013. They made their home in Camden and Alamo.
He loved his family and his grandchildren and he love Si Fi. He was a fantastic story teller.
Mr. Smith is survived by his wife, Virginia Carol Tucker Smith of Alamo; three daughters, Lauren Harper (Justin) of Alamo, Hannah Smith of Birmingham and Ellyn Smith of Birmingham; a stepdaughter, Rita Corvinus of Alamo and a stepson, John Yadamec of New Orleans and four grandchildren.
The memorial service has been cancelled and will be rescheduled for a later date.
