Dennis W. Garner, 65, of Middleton, died Tuesday, November 2, 2005 at his home.



The husband of JoAnn Teague Garner, who survives, he was a retired truck driver for Consolidated Freightways and had also farmed. Mr. Garner was born October 3, 1940 in Hulka, Miss., son of the late Lynmon and Anice Taylor Garner and had lived in Olive Branch for ten years before making his home in Middleton. Mr. Garner was a member of the Teamsters and was Baptist in belief.



Services were 2 pm Thursday, November 3, 2005 at Shackelford Funeral Directors Middleton chapel with Adrian Knipper officiating. Burial was in Rogers Springs Cemetery near Middleton with Jerry Marsh, Jewell Shearon, Billy Ray Dowdy, John Vance, Eddie Williams and Donald Austin serving as casket bearers.



In addition to his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Shelby Sullivan of Olive Branch, Miss.; one brother, Gene Garner of Hulka, Miss. and two grandsons, Morgan Patrick Sullivan and Cameron Taylor Sullivan, both of Olive Branch. He was preceded in death by his son, Kenneth Edward Garner and brother, Woody Garner.
