Dennis Lee Davis of Clifton, TN was born June 6, 1958 in Hohenwald, TN, the son of the late John Bradley Davis and Annie Elcia Pope Bates. He was a farmer but had previously worked in the maintenance department of Genesco for twenty years and Tourney Center Annex for sixteen years. Dennis attended the Clifton Church of Christ and departed this life on Saturday, August 6, 2022 at the age of 64 years and 2 months.
He is survived by companion, Dyanne Haddock of Clifton, TN; son, DeWayne Haddock of Clifton; daughters, Andrea Skelton and husband, Chris and Sevina Davis all of Waynesboro, TN and Amanda Harville and husband, Mike of Clifton, TN; grandchildren, Nolyn and Ethon Staggs, Sayler and Ledger Skelton, Blane and Destiny Lester, Chloe Smith and Gracie and Bella Haddock; a brother, Bennie Davis and wife, Kim of Hohenwald, TN; a sister, Joyce Walker of Warner Robins, GA and nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Davis was preceded in death by a brother, James Earl Davis and a sister, Shirley Ledlow.
Services will be Wednesday, August 10, 2022 at 3:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors chapel, Waynesboro, Tennessee, with Tracy Love officiating. Burial will follow in Balcum Cemetery, Waynesboro, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors assisting the family.
Visitation will be Tuesday, August 9, 2022 from 6 pm to 8 pm and Wednesday, August 10, 2022 from 1:30 pm to service time at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Nolyn Staggs, Sayler Skelton, Ethon Staggs, DeWayne Haddock, David Horner and Ashton Smith with Ledger Skelton serving as honorary pallbearer.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be given to the Ladies in Pink % Dean Stegall, Waynesboro, TN.
