Services for Delsie M. Cummins, 84, Collinwood, TN, (a resident of NHC Columbia) will be Wednesday, August 30, 2006 at 3:00 pm at Shackelford Funeral Home Chapel, Collinwood, TN with Sammy Franks officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Gardens, Collinwood, with Shackelford Funeral Directors of Wayne County in charge of the arrangements.
Visitation will be Tuesday, August 29, 2006 from 6 pm to 9 pm and Wednesday, August 30, 2006 from 9 am to service time at the funeral home in Collinwood, TN.
She died at Maury Regional Hospital in Columbia, TN, Monday, August 28, 2006.
Mrs. Cummins, a native of Wayne County, TN, was a retired school cafeteria worker and homemaker, and was a member of Collinwood Church of Christ and Salem Church of Christ. She was a daughter of the late Tom and Esther Martin Brown, the wife of the late Allen Cummins, and a sister of the late Ethridge, Eber, Edvert, Clice, Elvin, and Ada Brown and Velma Bryant.
Survivors, daughters, Margie (Tootie) Holt, Cypress Inn, TN, Martha Brown, Collinwood, TN, brother, Carmel (Pete) Brown, Detroit, MI, sisters, Zella Cummins, Collinwood, TN, Jewell Battles, Savannah, TN, Opal Brewer, Waynesboro, TN, six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
