DeLila Turnbow

DeLila Sharpe Turnbow was born February 23, 1921 in Wayne County, Tennessee, the daughter of the late Crowell S. and Pauline McCurry Sharpe. She departed this life Thursday, January 22, 2009 at Wayne Care Nursing Home in Waynesboro, Tennessee at the age of 87 Years, 10 Months, 30 Days. Mrs. Turnbow was a retired factory worker, a member of First United Methodist Church, and Ashland Home Demonstration Club.She is survived by a daughter, Martha Laverne Jett of Waynesboro, TN; a granddaughter, Diane Letko; great grandchildren, Olivia Diane and Connor Steven all of Indianapolis, IN; a brother, Wilson Sharpe of Hohenwald, TN; a niece and nephew.Services will be held on Tuesday, January 27, 2009 at 1:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Chapel in Waynesboro with Marvin Champion officiating. Burial will follow in Salem Cemetery in the Topsy community with Shackelford Funeral Directors in charge.
