Delbert Paul Allen

Mr. Allen died Friday afternoon at his home.



The husband of Martha Phillips Allen, who survives, he was a sign artist/painter. He was born to Frank O. and Dorothy Foster Allen, both of whom preceded him in death and lived all of his life here. He graduated in 1959 from Middleton High School and loved music and playing the guitar.



In addition to his wife, whom he married on December 17, 2004, survivors include two daughters, Stephanie Sisco and Rebecca Holley, both of Middleton; a step daughter, Misty Goodson of Starkville, MS; three sons, Freddie Allen, Brad Allen and Ben Allen, all of Middleton; three sisters, Mary Polly Salassi of Middleton, Lorene Brown of Memphis and Barbara Boyette of Pocahontas; and twelve grandchildren, Ashley & B. J. Sisco; Andrew, Sarah Grace, Will and Madison Allen; Sarah Wahid; Donald Hemker; Abigail and Jay Holley; Madelynne and Nathaniel Goodson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers, C. O., Ernest, Vaden, Floyd (Billy) and Hughey.
