Deffie Armour

Deffie Armour was born May 16, 1919 in McNairy County Tennessee the daughter of the late John Wesley and Addie Evans Rowland.She was united in marriage to Burl Armour of Selmer, TN on November 15, 1934.Mrs. Armour was the owner and operator of the Armour Cafe. She was a 58 year Charter member of the Lakeview Baptist Church in Selmer, Tennessee since 1949.Mrs. Armour departed this life on October 23, 2007 in Selmer, Tennessee at the age of 88 Years, 5 Months, 4 Days. She is survived by her husband Burl Armour of Selmer, Tennessee; two daughters, Melba Harrison and Mary Floyd of Selmer, Tennessee; three sons, Dolphis Armour and wife Naomi; James Armour and wife Joyce; and Ronald Armour and wife Faye all of Selmer, Tennessee; a brother, Ulyss Rowland of Selmer, Tennessee; 10 Grandchildren, 18 Great Grandchildren and 14 Great Great Grandchildren.In addition to her parents, Mrs. Armour was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Zane Harrison; four sisters, Beulah Robinson, Vadie Lambert, Dorothy Kiestler, Versie Mae Stanfill and three brothers, Alvin Rowland, Marshall Rowland and Aaron Rowland.
