Debra Lynn LaForce Simpson

Debra Lynn LaForce Simpson was born on November 21, 1958 in Detroit, Michigan, the daughter of Everett Lee LaForce and the late Brenda Gayle Devers LaForce.

On November 2, 1990, she was united in marriage to James Allen "Jim" Simpson, Sr., who preceded his wife in death on September 13, 2015.

Mrs. Simpson honorably served her country in the United States Navy. She worked at Wonder Years Daycare for 16 years, Coleman Farms for 5 years, and Hardin County Nursery for 2 years. She was a member of the VFW Post 7175 in Millington, Tennessee and was of the Christian belief. Debra enjoyed spending time raising plants and doing arts and crafts. The greatest joy in her life was her family and she treasured spending time with them, especially taking vacations with her dad and being with her grandchildren.

Debra Lynn LaForce Simpson departed this life on July 29, 2023 in Jackson, Tennessee at the age of 64 years, 8 months, and 8 days.

She is survived by her daughter, Amanda Butler and her husband William of Savannah, Tennessee; son, Carl Kent and his wife Rebecca of Savannah, Tennessee; stepdaughter, Jamie Simpson of Savannah, Tennessee; father, Everett LaForce of Savannah, Tennessee; sister, Laura Beth Leohr and her husband Eric of Olive Hill, Tennessee; grandchildren, Sarah Ramsey, Kaylee Kent, Dalton Kent, Claudia Hughes, Wyatt Hughes, Timothy Kent, and Carl Kent, Jr.; and great grandchild, William Chapman.
