Debbie King Smith, was born on July 23, 1956, in Jackson, Tennessee, to the late Roy Neal and Gloria Ann Wilson.
On May 23, 1975, Debbie united in marriage with Rickie Wayne Smith, forming a partnership filled with love and unwavering support. Their journey together was marked by shared adventures, including Debbie's role as a truck driver alongside Rickie, showcasing her adventurous spirit and dedication to family.
Throughout her life, Debbie embraced various roles with enthusiasm and grace. She proudly worked at Brown Shoe Factory, owned and operated a store, and served in the cafeteria at Selmer Middle School, where she treated each child with kindness and affection. This role was one she cherished deeply, reflecting her genuine love for nurturing and caring for others.
Debbie found immense joy in spending time at the family river lots, creating lasting memories with her children and grandchildren. She treasured every moment shared with them, pouring her heart into raising a loving family.
Debbie departed this life on April 3, 2025, in Jackson, Tennessee, at the age of 68 years, 8 months, and 11 days. Her legacy of love, laughter, and cherished moments will forever be remembered by her family and friends.
She is survived by her husband, Rickie Wayne Smith of Bethel Springs, TN; a daughter, Tanya Renee Pierce and husband Shane of Enville, TN; four grandchildren, Jessica Lashea Pind and partner Patrick Vannoller, James Matthew Pind, Cody Pierce and wife Katie, Tyler Pierce and partner Stephanie Guleff; three great grandchildren, Adalynn Marie Vannoller, Avalynn Langlinais and Jolene Jewell Pierce; three brothers: brother, Roy Neal King Jr. and wife Lisa of Jackson, TN; brother, Keith Edward Wilson and wife Wendy of Bethel Springs, TN, nieces and nephews, Ashley, Alex and Junior, seven great nieces and nephews; brother, Roger King of Jackson, TN, nephews, Chris and Nicholas; a sister, Melissa Miller of Topeka, KS, nieces and nephew, Shea, El and DJ-with wife and a baby boy on the way; and a host of extended family and friends.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by a daughter, Brandy Smith Pind; a sister, Royce Ann Tignor; niece, Kimberly Dawn Reed; great nephew, Waytt Reed.
