Debbie King Smith, a beloved daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, was born on July 23, 1956, in Jackson, TN. She was the cherished daughter of the late Roy Neal King and Gloria Ann Keller King. On May 23, 1975, she united in marriage with Rickie Wayne Smith, embarking on a beautiful journey of love and partnership that lasted a lifetime.
Throughout her life, Debbie exemplified hard work and dedication. She worked at Brown Shoe Factory to driving trucks alongside her husband, and even owning and operating a store. One of her greatest joys was working in the cafeteria at Selmer Middle School, where she made lasting connections and delighted in serving the children she adored.
Debbie found immense joy in spending time at the family river lots, where cherished memories were created. Her greatest pride, however, was in her family. She loved and adored her children and grandchildren, always finding joy in the little moments spent together.
On April 3, 2025, Debbie departed this world peacefully in Jackson, Tennessee, at the age of 68 years, 8 months, and 11 days. She leaves behind her devoted husband, Rickie Wayne Smith of Bethel Springs, TN; her daughter, Tanya Renee Pierce and husband Shane of Enville, TN; four grandchildren, Jessica Lashea Pind and her partner Patrick Vannoller, James Matthew Pind, Cody Pierce and wife Katie, and Tyler Pierce and partner Stephanie Guleff; three great-grandchildren, Adalynn Marie Vannoller, Avalynn Langlinais, and Jolene Jewell Pierce; three brothers, Roy Neal King Jr. of Jackson, TN, Keith Edward Wilson of Bethel Springs, TN, Roger King of Jackson, TN; a sister, Melissa Dawn Keller of Topeka, KS, and a host of extended family and friends.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by a daughter, Brandy Smith Pind; a sister, Royce Ann Tignor.
As we remember Debbie, let us celebrate the love she shared, the laughter she inspired, and the warmth she brought into the lives of those around her.
