Mrs. Cox passed away Tuesday morning at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
The wife of James Roy Cox, who survives, she was a dietician at Western Mental Health Institute for nine years. She was born in Union City, TN to Thelma Turner of Middleton, TN, and the late Duke Jackson and lived most of her life in Middleton. She was a member of Reaves Methodist Church.
In addition to her husband, whom she married August 26, 1972, and mother, survivors include two sons, James Roy Cox, Jr. and Daniel Gene Cox, both of Middleton; two sisters, Brenda Faye Doyle of Henderson, TN and Patricia Graves of Selmer, TN; three brothers, Ray Jackson of Middleton, Greg Jackson of Selmer and Rickey Jackson of Newton, MS; and five granchildren, Kayla Cox and Courtney Cox, both of Middleton, Megan Nicole Cox and Ashley Denise Cox, both of Somerville, TN, and C. J. Cox of Toone, TN. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Tony Jackson and Daniel Gene Jackson.
