Dean Basham of Selmer, Tennessee, was born on October 4, 1924, the son of the late James Dewey Basham and Lillian Dunaway Basham. He was a U. S. Navy World War II Veteran. Mr. Basham was a retired mechanical engineer with Dana Corporation in Corinth, Mississippi. He was a member of Sulphur Springs Methodist Church.Mr. Basham departed this life on Friday, September 28, 2007, in Selmer at the age of 82 years, 11 months, and 24 days.Survivors are his wife Nell Humphries Basham; three daughters, Barbara Dunaway and husband Jerry, Donna King and husband Joe, and Vickie Renee Young and husband Charles, all of Selmer; a brother, Bob Basham and wife Ava of Memphis.5 Grandchildren4 Great GrandchildrenA host of other relatives and friends.
