Mr. Scott passed away Thursday, April 9 at Bolivar General Hospital.
He was born to Wallace Cooper Scott, Jr. and Ola Mabel Webb Scott, both of whom preceded him in death, and was raised in the 'Love Circle' area of Nashville. He had lived here over 30 years. He was an administrator with the Nat T. Winston Center in Bolivar and also was an educator, having taught in Augusta, GA and Charleston, SC. Mr. Scott was a 1956 graduate of West End High School in Nashville and received his B.S. in Education from George Peabody College in Nashville. He was baptized at West End Church of Christ in Nashville and was a member and song leader for over 30 years at Bolivar Church of Christ. An avid sports fan, he especially loved baseball and golf. He also greatly enjoyed classical music.
Survivors include two brothers, Wallace Cooper Scott, III of Fairfax, VA and James Ronald Scott of Nashville; a sister, Joanne Scott Phillips of Bluffton, SC; a special friend, Frances A. Scott of Bolivar; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, William Webb Scott.
