David Bradley (Cotton) Ray, Sr.
was born in Clifton, Tennessee on September 7, 1950 the son of Gloria Dorothy Brown Ray and the late Ben Hooper Ray.
On January 27, 1979 he was united in marriage to the former Jennifer Ceal Talley, who survives. Mr. Ray was a veteran of the U.S Army and served in the Vietnam War. He was self-employed in Real Estate/ Development, owner of Riverstone Marina and Riverside Remax Realty and co-owner of E & R Construction, Rawhide Flea Market, Riverstone Estates and Savannah Trailers. Mr. Ray was a member of the Church on the Rock.
He departed this life on April 29, 2007 in Tupelo, Mississippi at the age of
56 years, 7 months and 22 days.
Mr. Ray is survived by his wife, Jennifer Talley Ray of Bath Springs, Tennessee; three sons: David Bradley Ray, II, Colton Lee Ray, and Adam Tyler Ray, all of Clifton, Tennessee
and one daughter, Andrea Michelle McGovern of Paducah, Kentucky;
one grandchild, Dylan McGovern;
his mother, Gloria Dorothy Brown Ray of Savannah, Tennessee;
one brother, Ben Harris Ray and his wife, Susan, of Savannah, Tennessee;
one sister, Dorothy Mae (Dolly) Buczynski of Toms River, New Jersey;
his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Floyd and Lucille Talley of Adamsville, Tennessee; a sister-in-law, Karen Rose of Adamsville, Tennessee and
four nephews and three nieces.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a sister, Karen Yvonne Ray.
