David Randall "Randy" Grimes

March 19, 1952 — May 11, 2017

Mr. Grimes died Thursday, May 11, at Bolivar General Hospital.

Mr. Grimes was born Wednesday, March 19, 1952 in Memphis, TN, the son of the late Wallis Dotson and Norma Maxine Carson Grimes. Mrs. Grimes departed this life in February, 1967 and his father died Thursday, May 4, of this year. He had lived in Bristol, TN, Knoxville, Memphis, Selmer and Pickwick before settling in the Grand Junction area 12 years ago.

Mr. Grimes as a 1970 graduate of Frayser High School in Memphis and attended the University of Memphis. He served his country with the US Army Avionics Division in Alaska. Twice in one year, he was awarded Soldier-Of-The-Month and also was a graduate of NCO Academy. He retired after 26 years of working with Beckman Coulter as field service engineer and was a member of the Patriot Guard. Randy was an avid hunter, enjoyed motorcycles and storytelling.

Described as a magnificent brother, he is survived by his only sibling, Douglas W. Grimes of Grand Junction.
