Mr. David Galloway King, age 62 of Oakfield, departed this life Friday evening, March 16, 2012 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
Mr. King was born in Columbus, Indiana December 29, 1949 to the late Virginia Galloway and Maurice Riley King. He lived in West Tennessee since the 1950s and grew up in Bolivar, graduating from Bolivar Central High School in 1968. He worked as a factory supervisor for Armstrong Tile, was a licensed draftsman and also worked at Kilgore for a few years. His family describes him as "a Renaissance man" due to his enjoyment of a wide range of things including motorcycling, history and the fine arts.
He leaves as his survivors two sons, Eric King of Murfreesboro and Andrew King of North Little Rock, Arkansas; a brother, Stuart King of Miami, Florida; a niece, Shea Wood of North Little Rock, Arkansas; and a nephew, Robert S. King of Miami, Florida.
