David Lee Hayes

David Lee Hayes was born in Savannah, Tennesse on August 22, 1946 the son of the late Homer Clarence and Carrie Velmer Clark Hayes.On February 27, 1971 he married Ruth Diane Highland, who survives.David was employed with Shackelford Funeral Director's Savannah as cemetery personnel for over 35 years. He was a hard worker, dedicated husband and father. He was baptized with his wife on the same day at Pickwick Lake into the Four Square Church in Savannah. He was presently attending Church on the Rock.David departed this life on Friday, February 1, 2008 at Hardin Medical Center at the age of 61 years, 5 months, 10 days.In addition to his wife he is survived by a son: Clifton David Hayes of Adamsville, Tennessee; a daughter: Charlotte Lavern Asher of Savannah, Tennessee; 4 sisters: Mazie Jerrolds of Savannah, Tennessee, Margaret Scott of Ellendale, Tennessee, Nancy Ross of Bartlett, Tennessee, Helen Inman of Sardis, Tennessee; 1 brother: Charles Hayes of Portland, Texas; 5 grandchildren: Brittany Waters, Preston Hayes, Noah Hayes, Caleb Asher, Kayla Asher.In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a daughter: Jennifer Marie Hayes.
