Memorial services for David Hugh Dunbar, age 77 of Waynesboro will be 11:00 am Tuesday, April 8, 2008 at Shackelford Chapel in Waynesboro, TN with Cal Hampton officiating. His remains were cremated.
Mr. Dunbar, a native of Detroit, Michigan, died on Saturday, March 22, 2008 at his home. He was a son of the late Willard Carr Dunbar and Ester Mae Stabler Dunbar. He also was preceded in death by a daughter, Dora Dunbar. A veteran of the Korean War, he served in the U.S. Marine Corps as a munitions expert. Mr. Dunbar was retired from Pontiac Motors as a tool and die maker and was past master of Masonic Lodge #84 F&M in Oxford, Michigan.
He is survived by his wife, Edna Vaught Dunbar of Waynesboro, TN; son, David W. Dunbar of Pinckney, Michigan; step-daughters, Penny Crosswhite of Leominster, Mass., Karen Hand and Gail Thrasher both of Waynesboro,TN; step-sons, Greg Hand of Lapeer, Michigan and Alan Hand of Phoenix, Arizona; 2 grandchildren and
9 step-grandchildren.
He will be sadly missed by family and friends.
