DAVE “BUDDY†SMITH
Was born in Hardin County, Tennessee on January 25, 1927 the son of the late John C. and Dona Belle Hunt Smith.
Mr. Smith was a machinist for Brown Shoe Company and Frolic Footwear. He lived most of his life in Jonesboro, Arkansas and lived for 17 years in Brookland, Arkansas.
He departed this life on October 7, 2006 at the Skilled Care Nursing Home in Jonesboro, Arkansas at the age of 79 years, 8 months and 12 days.
Mr. Smith is survived by 2 daughters, Judy Reed of Bono, Arkansas and Tamera Gibson of Eufaula, Alabama.
2 sons, David Smith of Savannah, Tennessee and Barry Smith of Brookland, Arkansas.
6 grandchildren, Brandy Deloach, Sherry Harris, Ricky Smith, Danny Smith Jr., Josh Smith and Derick Reed.
1 great-grandchild, Garrick Smith.
5 sisters, Jeffey Belle Scott, Emma Todd, Sue Pipes, Robbie Jo Frazier and Kathy Neal, all of Savannah, Tennessee.
5 brothers, Carl Smith of Milan, Tennessee, Ted Smith, Tommy Jack Smith and Larry Joe Smith, all of Savannah, Tennessee and Billy Smith of Williford, Arkansas.
Other than his parents, Mr. Smith was also preceded in death by one son, Danny Smith, one grandchild, Anthony Smith, 2 sisters, Grace Crotts and Mary Francis Smith, one brother, Jay Smith and 2 infant siblings.
