Darlene Stackhouse

Darlene Stackhouse, 69, of Middleton, passed away on Thursday, July 13, 2023, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.

She was born in Memphis and had lived in Hardeman County for over 40 years. Her parents were the late Charles T. and Pearl Maharrey McCulley. For the past 15 years, she had worked as a caretaker. She had also worked at Biltrite in Ripley, MS and Harmon Automotive. She married Peter Stackhouse on January 19, 1979. He departed this life on February 27, 1995. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Charles McCulley.

Mrs. Stackhouse was a member of Middleton First United Pentecostal Church and, in her leisure time, enjoyed fishing, music and dancing. Her most treasured times were spent with her family.

She leaves three daughters, Carrie Pannell and Betty Sparks, both of Middleton and, Rhonda Stackhouse of Saulsbury; two sons, Russell Stackhouse of Saulsbury and Richard Stackhouse of Auburn, AL; a sister, Mary Dunlap of Mississippi; a brother, Tommy McCulley of Memphis; ten grandchildren, Zachary and Damian Lambert, Terry Lowrance, Steven and Jasmin Sparks, Josh, Jonah and Joseph Kligel, Will and Blake Stackhouse; and nine great-grandchildren.
