Danny Leon Wallace, age 74, of Waynesboro, TN, departed this life on Tuesday, February 4, 2025. He was born on February 23, 1950, in Macon, GA, he was the son of the late Julian Durham and Margaret Elizabeth Campbell Wallace.
Danny's life was marked by his dedication and service to his country, as he honorably served in the United States Army during the Vietnam era. His bravery and commitment to his nation were a testament to his character.
On October 14, 1983, Danny found love and companionship when he married Sheila Selene Davis, who sadly preceded him in death on October 18, 2023. Their bond was an inspiration, filled with shared laughter and beautiful memories.
For many years, Danny dedicated his work to Central Transport Trucking until he enjoyed a well-deserved retirement. However, work was just one part of his vibrant life. Danny was a proud founding member of the Liberty Riders and a true craftsman at heart, Danny found joy in restoring classic cars, trucks, and Harley-Davidsons. He also had a green thumb; gardening brought him peace and fulfillment.
Above all, nothing compared to the joy he felt when surrounded by his grandchildren. Time spent with them was precious and filled with love, laughter, and countless cherished moments.
As we remember Danny, let us celebrate the life of a remarkable man who brought happiness to those around him. His legacy of love, hard work, and passion for life will forever be in our hearts.
He is survived by his daughter, Danielle Selene Wallace of Waynesboro, TN; sister, Caroll Wallace Rose of MI; grandchildren, Carsen Daniel Frazier, and Emmy Reese Frazier; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and wife, Danny was preceded in death by his brothers, Larry Eugene Wallace, and Andy Wallace.
Services will be held on Wednesday, February 12, 2025 at 11:00 am at the Middle Tennessee Veterans Cemetery in Nashville, TN with Military Honors and burial to follow.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Carsen Frazier, Tim Wallace, Timothy Wallace, Tyler Wallace, Paul Potento, Bruce Wallace, and Joe Campbell.
The family request memorial donations be made to the Wounded Warrior project, or a local animal shelter of your choice.
