Danny Rogers

January 4, 1946 — February 23, 2012

Henderson, TN: Danny Dale Rogers, age 66 passed away February 23, 2012 at the Chester County Healthcare.



He was born in Chester County the son of Ida Brittian Rogers and the late Otis Rogers. He graduated from Chester County High School in 1964 and attended Freed Hardeman College and received his degree from Union University in 1968 and received his Masters from Memphis State in 1977. Mr. Rogers worked as an EMT for the Chester County Ambulance Service and, in it’s beginning in 1972 for M & W Ambulance Service. Mr. Rogers taught in the Chester County School System several years serving as the first Principal of Chester County Junior High and also Coached Junior High Basketball. He taught in the Henderson County Schools for twenty four years retiring in 1998. After retirement he worked part time in the Apria Health Care. He was a member of the Antioch Baptist Church.



Mr. Rogers is survived by his wife, Glenda Smith McNeil Rogers of Henderson; a son, Monty Rogers (Angie) of Mayfield, KY; a stepdaughter, Paulette Sells (Jeff) of Henderson and a stepson, Tony McNeil (Kim) of Henderson; his mother, Ida Rogers of Luray; grandchildren, Cannon Rogers and Tiffany Rogers; step-grandchildren, Reed Brady, Andrew McNeil, Sarah McNeil, Kristian Sells and Nick Sells; a sister, Linda Robbins (Harold) of Alamo, TN and a brother, Jerry Rogers of Luray, TN.



He was preceded in death by a son, Kevin Rogers in 2009.
