Danny Mayfield

Danny Mayfield, 72, of Toone, departed this life Saturday, January 4, at his home.

The husband of Jane White Mayfield, who survives, he was a franchise owner/dealer with Snap-On Tools and also farmed and worked sales. He was born November 18, 1947 in Hardeman County, son of the late Marvin Monroe Mayfield and Mable Shearon Mayfield and lived in Marion and Hughes, Arkansas prior to moving back here. He served in the US Navy from 1969-72 and was a Vietnam Veteran. He enjoyed gardening, being on his tractor and working in his yard, but received his greatest fulfillment from being around his grandchildren, whom he dearly loved. Mr. Mayfield was a member of New Union Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Jane Mayfield; a daughter, Amy Elizabeth Chambers (Jason) of Marietta, GA; a son, Matthew Mayfield (Brandie) of Oakland; 2 grandchildren, Kylie and Lilah Chambers; and a brother, Miles Mayfield (Sheila) of Toone.
