DANNY ‘JACK’ JACKSON
Henderson, TN: Danny Lawrence Jackson age 59 passed away Monday October 10, 2016 at Tri-Lake Hospital in Batesville, MS.
He was born July 7, 1957 in Jackson and reared in Madison and Chester County, the son of the late Dan Wallace Jackson and Doris Laverne Thomas Hurst. He attended Chester County Schools.
He drove a Dr. Pepper delivery truck, Harville Lures, Orkin Pest Control, Kolpack and more recent R. Jones Underground.
He enjoyed drag racing from his teenage years and raced at Jackson Dragway, he and his daughter raced chevelles until the early 2002. He enjoyed NHRA on TV and enjoyed fishing and bass tournament fishing and loved playing the guitar.
Mr. Jackson is survived by a son, Brandon Jackson of Henderson and a daughter, Shannon Burgess and husband Greg of Henderson; four grandchildren, Bo Hunter, Brentlee and Beth Ann Burgess and Harper Grace Jackson; his fiancée, Rhonda Crowder; a brother, Nathan Hurst of Jacks Creek; step father, Bill Hurst of Henderson and three step brothers, James Hurst of Bethel Springs, Johnny Hurst of Hornsby and Tony Hurst of Masseyville.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Darrell Jackson and Dennis Jackson.
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Thursday, October 13, 2016 at Shackelford funeral Directors – Casey Chapel. Burial will follow in Owens Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Casey Chapel 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM on Wednesday.
