Danny Baker was born November 17, 1959 in Memphis, TN the son of Wilma Sue Powers Baker and the late Billy Baker.
He was united in marriage to Teresa Spears on April 26, 1983.
Danny was a 1978 graduate of McNairy Central High School. He attended the Tennessee College of Applied Technology in Crump to study Industrial Maintenance, and worked in the construction and manufacturing industries. Danny was a jack of all trades who willingly tackled any project. He could unlock cars, mow yards, and would attempt to fix anything that needed fixing. He was a tinkerer and enjoyed working on lawn mowers. Watching NHRA drag racing and police shows were among Danny's favorite pastimes. Whenever anyone would ask Danny how he was doing, he would always reply, "I've talked to the Main Doctor today." Throughout his illness Danny never lost his faith or questioned his circumstances and always maintained a positive attitude. He was a member of the Adamsville First Baptist Church. Danny has won his race and kept his final appointment with the Main Doctor.
Danny departed this life on December 5, 2019 at his home in Adamsville, Tennessee at the age of 60 Years, 18 Days. He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Teresa Baker of Adamsville, TN; two sons, Josh Baker and wife Ashley of Adamsville, TN and Ben Baker and wife Leah of Morris Chapel, TN; a daughter, Emily Ann Baker of Adamsville, TN; two grandchildren, Daniel Robert Jace Baker and Brooklyn McKenzie Gibson; his mother, Wilma Sue Baker of Michie, TN; a brother, Dana Baker and wife Andrea of Jackson, TN; a sister, Debbie Hardee of Ripley, TN; and many extended family and friends.
Memorial contributions in memory of Danny may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
