Daniel Neil Moore

Daniel Neil Moore of Waynesboro, TN was born February 11, 1937 in Waynesboro, TN, the son of the late Homer Neil and Lourrie Keeton Moore. He was united in marriage to the former Betty Long on June 19, 1964.

Mr. Moore, a retired surveyor with the Tennessee Department of Transportation, was of the Baptist faith and departed this life on Saturday, April 16, 2022 at Waynesboro Health and Rehabilitation in Waynesboro, Tennessee at the age of 85 Years, 2 Months, 5 Days.

He is survived by his wife, Betty Long Moore, two sons, Danny Moore and wife, Sara and Donny Moore and a daughter, Darlene Risner and husband, Shayne all of Waynesboro, TN; grandchildren, Zack and wife, Kelbie, Tucker and wife, Maddie, Preston and Noah; great-grandson, Zayne, brother, Freddy Moore and wife, Melanie of Chattanooga, TN and nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Moore was preceded in death by a brother, Franklin Moore and a sister, Carolyn Franks.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, April 18, 2022 at 1 pm at Memorial Gardens of Wayne County, Waynesboro, Tennessee with Kerry Franks and Ronnie Pope officiating. Burial will follow with Shackelford Funeral Directors assisting the family.

Visitation will be thirty minutes before the graveside service at Memorial Gardens on Monday, April 18, 2022.

Pallbearers will be Terry Moore, Steven Moore, Zack Risner, Tucker Risner, Preston Moore and Nolan Moore with honorary pallbearer being Zayne Risner.

His family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be given to the Butterfly Foundation, St. Jude Children's Hospital or the Ashton Grimes Memorial Youth Squirrel Hunt.
