Daniel Eugene "Gene" Jackson, 58, of Millington, died Tuesday evening, August 22, 2006 at Baptist Memorial Hospital East in Memphis.
The husband of Mary Jo Worrell Jackson, who survives, he made countertops at T & W Tops in Shelby County before starting his own company, Jackson’s Countertops. He was born June 20, 1948 in Hardeman County, son of Thelma Jean Howell Jackson Turner and the late Duke Daniel Jackson. Mr. Jackson lived in Shelby County most of his life, attended the United Church of God and enjoyed fishing.
Graveside services were 12:00 p.m. Friday, August 25, 2006 at Rehobeth Cemetery near Bolivar with Steve Moody officiating.
In addition to his wife, whom he married June 11, 1969, and his mother, survivors include one daughter, Teri Denise Breck of Salinas, Cal.; two sons, Daniel Alan Jackson of Millington and Anthony Eugene Jackson of Rogers, Ark.; one grandson, Brandon Alan Jackson; three granddaughters, Brooke Denise Russell, Alexandria Breck and Peyton Elisabeth Jackson; three sisters, Brenda Doyle of Bolivar, Pat Crouse of Selmer and Debbie Cox of Middleton; three brothers, Ray Jackson of Middleton, Rickey Jackson of Newton, Miss. and Greg Jackson of Adamsville and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Tony Jackson.
