Daniel Eldred Duncan age 76 of Bethel Springs, was born January 25, 1939 in Mount Hermon, LA, the son of the late Wilbur and Florence Hughes Duncan.
Mr. Duncan was united in marriage to Betty Carolyne Pittman on August 6, 1957. He was a Dredge Operator for Holloway Gravel Company in Baton Rouge, LA. He was a member of the Second Baptist Church in Jackson, Louisiana. Mr. Duncan was a very humble and simple guy who volunteered at the Selmer Community Center where he lived working with children. He was also a talented Certified Master Gardener.
Mr. Duncan departed this life on April 4, 2015 in Bethel Springs, Tennessee at the age of 76 Years, 2 Months, 10 Days.
He is survived by his children, Peggy Wolbrecht and husband Ricky of Vancleave, MS and Gregory Duncan of Jackson, MS; two sisters, Ann Kyzar of Walker, LA, Mary Cutrer of Kentwood, LA; two brothers, Wilbur Duncan Jr. of Ethel, LA, David Duncan of Mount Hermon, LA; six grandchildren: Joseph Daniel Duncan and wife Candace of Houston, TX, Christopher Woodrow Duncan and Amy Flynn of Bethel Springs, TN, Christina Marie Seals and husband John of Amite, LA, Melinda Kati Alexander and husband Mike of Gulfport, MS, John Richard Wolbrecht and wife Tiffany Stone of Erie, PA, Russel Paul Duncan and wife Angel of Bethlehem, NH; twelve great grandchildren: Tyler Duncan, Alaina Duncan, Madison Duncan, Madeline Duncan, Maddox Duncan, Destiny Warren, Jason Warren, Dixie Seals, Dakota Seals, Kati Alexander, Isabella Duncan, and Jerry Duncan.
For the help and attention given to Mr. Duncan, special thanks to Diane Freemyer and David Pittman, the hospices nurses, Cindy Hickman and Dana Gann, Kathryn, Dr. Bartz, Ernest and Shelby Derryberry.
A private memorial service will be held on Saturday afternoon for family and close friends.
