Dana Edward Lee, the 39 year old son of Russell Edward Lee and Sally Adams Lee, died of a massive heart attack suffered at his home in Adamsville Tennessee, on December 29th. He was born and raised in Jackson, Mississippi. He lived with and cared for his deaf mother while he attended college with emphasis in computer science where he had been chosen the president of the Student Council shortly before going on a medical leave of absence. He was also a licensed pilot and instructor. He was a Boy Scout (Life Scout rank). He attended First Presbyterian Pre-school in Jackson, Mississippi and was a member of the Broadmoor Baptist Church . Dana leaves behind three aunts, who are Fairl Lee Gandy and Mr. and Mrs. Jack (Lavaun Lee) Jones, all of Willow Grove, Mississippi, and Mrs. James Howard (Barbara Adams) Napier of Adamsville, Tennessee. His grandparents were the late Will A. and Ada Rawls Lee of Collins and the late H. Houston "Doc" and Lillie Crenshaw Adams of Charleston, Mississippi. At Christmas, Dana had asked that the family give his gifts to the Salvation Army for the victims of Katrina in Mississippi; therefore, we ask in lieu of flowers that your memorials be made to Salvation Army.
Services will be held on December 31, 2005 at 3:00 PM at Shackelford's of Adamsville, Adamsville, Tennessee. A graveside service will be held at January 1, at 2:00 PM at the Oakland Cemetery in Oakland, Mississippi.
