Dallas Lewis Pope

Dallas Lewis Pope of Waynesboro, TN was born March 27, 1930 in Wayne County, TN, the son of the late George Thomas and Argie Elizabeth Bunch Pope. He was united in marriage to Norma Sue Staggs on November 21, 1953. Mr. Pope was a sawmill worker, farmer, and trader.Mr. Pope departed this life on Wednesday, January 11, 2012 at Wayne Medical Center in Waynesboro, Tennessee at the age of 81 Years, 9 Months, 15 Days.He is survived by his wife, Norma Sue Staggs Pope; a son, Rayford Pope and wife, Teresa; a granddaughter, Julie Pope Rayfield; a grt-grandson, Dallas Gage Rayfield; a brother, I . V. Pope, all of Waynesboro, TN; several nieces and nephews.In addition to his parents, Mr. Pope was preceded in death by a sister, Lela Davis; six brothers, Ernie Pope, Red Pope, Clyde Pope, Harvey Pope, Willard Pope. Services will be held on Friday, January 13, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Shackelford Funeral Directors Chapel, Waynesboro, Tennessee, with John Blackwell officiating. Burial will follow in the Buchanan Cemetery at Waynesboro, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors, Wayne County, directing.
