Dale Fisher was born September 12, 1936 in Michie, Tennessee the son of the late Cecil and Gladys Northcutt Fisher.
He was united in marriage to Bettye Lambert on March 4, 1959.
Mr. Fisher graduated from Michie High School in 1955. He graduated from Northeast Mississippi Junior College in 1957, and graduated from Mississippi State University in 1959 with a Bachelor of Science in Health and Physical Education. While at Mississippi State, Mr. Fisher played forward for the Bulldogs basketball team, winning two Southeastern Conference titles in 1958 and 1959. He was a Physical Education teacher for 40 years, spending approximately 10 years in Prince Fredrick, Maryland and the remainder of his life in McNairy County, Tennessee. He was a member of the "M" Club at Mississippi State University, and was a member of the Lebanon United Methodist Church near Michie, Tennessee.
Mr. Fisher departed this life on April 18, 2010 in Michie, Tennessee at the age of 73 Years, 7 Months, 6 Days. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Bettye (Lambert) Fisher of Michie, TN; three daughters: Stacey Glover and husband Jim of Humboldt, TN, Paula Hancock and husband David of Pickwick Dam, TN, and Marci Fisher of Michie, TN; a son, Josh Fisher of Michie, TN; seven grandchildren: Sarah Grace Glover, Katherine Anne Glover, Brooke Hancock, Hunter Hancock, Summer Hancock, Fisher Hancock, and Woody Hancock; three sisters: Rheba Carter and husband Don of Savannah, TN, Gay Brown and husband Don of Michie, TN, and Mary Lou Bryant of Michie, TN; three brothers: Larry Fisher and wife Pat of McLemoresville, TN, Gerald Fisher and wife Nell of Michie, TN, and Paul Fisher and wife Linda of Selmer, TN; and a host of extended family and friends.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Fisher was preceded in death by a sister, Margie Ruth Chandler; and a brother, Woodson Fisher.
