Cyleno Houston

September 18, 1943 — April 17, 2010

Mrs. Houston passed away Saturday afternoon at Jackson-Madison

County General Hospital.



The wife of Joe Houston, who survives, she was retired as a clerical/medical records/insurance specialist, having worked for Dr. Chary, Bolivar General Hospital, Troxel and CCA. She was born September 18, 1943, in Fayette County, daughter of the late Jim Pate Markle and Lennie Beatrice Culver Markle and moved here in 1970. She immensely enjoyed her family and grandchildren, faithfully attending their ballgames and other activities. Mrs. Houston was a member of Hickory Valley Baptist Church.



In addition to her husband, whom she married on April 12, 1963, survivors include a daughter and her husband, Teresa and Tony Kirk of Bolivar; three granddaughters, Kristen Kirk of Jackson, Keaton Kirk and Kelsey Kirk, both of Bolivar; a sister, Iva Pattat of Somerville; and three brothers, Gary, O'Neil and Ronnie Markle, all of Somerville.
