CURTIS GODWIN
Was born in Morris Chapel, Tennessee on January 30, 1913 the son of the late William Alpine and Amanda Jerrolds Godwin.
On January 6, 1938 he was united in marriage to the former Ruby Hulen, who preceded her husband in death on July 16, 1993.
Mr. Godwin was a self-employed carpenter. He was a member of Campground United Methodist Church.
Mr. Godwin departed this life on June 1, 2006 at the Hardin County Nursing Home in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 93 years, 4 months and 2 days.
He is survived by 2 daughters, Nancy Ferguson and Kathy Thompson, both of Savannah.
2 sons, Jimmy and Glen Godwin, both of Savannah.
8 grandchildren, Shelley Roach, Eric Moore, Greg Godwin, Kristi Lewis, Brent Godwin, Tanya Vaughn, Rusty Thompson and Nick Thompson
9 great-grandchildren, Preston Moore, Lindsey McCasland, Chelsea Vaughn, Jon Tyler Roach, Cody Vaughn, Riley Vaughn, Samantha Moore, Spencer Lewis and Grant Godwin.
One brother, Dick Godwin of Adamsville, Tennessee.
One sister, Villar Rhodes of Savannah.
Mr. Godwin was also preceded in death by 3 brothers, Hershel, Grady and Bill Godwin and 2 sisters, Ivey Moffett and Fleece Hulen.
