Cory Lynn Lockard was born August 4, 1998 in Savannah, TN the son of Marissa Plunk and Timothy Lynn Lockard.
Cory was an 8th grade student in Mrs. Kaylie Gray Robertson class at Hardin County Middle School. He was recently inducted into the National Junior Honor's Society. He loved going to school and even wanted to go on Saturdays.
Cory enjoyed the simple things in life and being with his family. He loved Spiderman, Harry Potter movies, playing with his flip phone and See 'n Say, going fishing with his Pappaw and little brother Wyatt, and eating his favorite snack, potato chips.
Cory departed this life on April 1, 2013 in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 14 Years, 7 Months, 28 Days. He is survived by his mother, Marissa Plunk of Savannah, TN; father, Tim Lockard of Waynesboro, TN; brother, Wyatt Plunk of Savannah, TN; grandparents, Ronnie and Doris Rippy Plunk of Savannah, TN, Connie Lockard of Waynesboro, TN; great grandparents, Bill and Mollie Plunk of Adamsville, TN, Jimmy James Rippy of Savannah, TN; uncles, James Keith Plunk and Kevin Plunk both of Savannah, TN; host of extended family and friends.
He is preceded in death by great grandmother, Mary Lois Rippy; grandfather, George Alvin Lockard.
