Connie Jean Lockard

Connie Jean Hutchinson Lockard of Westpoint, TN, formerly of Waynesboro, TN, was born May 31, 1952 in Pontiac, MI, the daughter of the late James and Jo Ann Tedford Hutchinson. She was united in marriage to George Alvin Lockard, Sr. on January 18, 1991 and he preceded her in death on August 18, 2012.

Mrs. Lockard was a retired cook at Red's Truck Stop in Waynesboro, TN and departed this life on Sunday, October 30, 2022 at NHC HealthCare in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee at the age of 70 Years, 4 Months, 30 Days.

She is survived by sons, Rocky Lockard of Lawrenceburg, TN, Ricky Garland of Pennsylvania and Timothy Lockard of Lawrenceburg, TN; daughters, Lynett Purdy of Columbia, TN, Jaydeen Garland of Nashville, TN and Candy Garland of Westpoint, TN; grandchildren, Amy Lockard Pike, Chad Dewayne Lockard, Sabrina Dunn Judkins, Eric Garland, Cody Martin, Austin Martin, Jacob Martin, Kabreeann Bauman, Gage Cowell, Peyton Garland and Elizabeth Garland; twelve great-grandchildren; a brother, Bob Hutchinson of Scotts Hill, TN; sisters, Wanda Lintz of MI, Terrie Parrott of MI, Karen Gay of TX, Jackie Boleyn of TN and Tina Smith of MI and nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Lockard was preceded in death by a grandson, Cory Lockard.

A graveside service will be held on Sunday, November 6, 2022 at 3 pm at the Fellowship Cemetery in Scotts Hill, Tennessee with Jason Love officiating. Burial will follow with Shackelford Funeral Directors assisting the family.

Pallbearers will be Trevor Judkins, Bob Hutchinson, Rocky Lockard, Timothy Lockard, Austin Martin and Cody Martin.

Family and friends will gather at the cemetery at 2:45 pm on Sunday, November 6, 2022.
