Mrs. Brown passed away Friday, Nov. 30 at West Tennessee Transitional Care in Jackson. She was the widow of Adam Franklin Brown, Jr., who died in 1951 and had worked in production with Kilgore for 19 years. She was a Baptist in belief and was affiliated with West Memorial Baptist Church in her youth when her father preached there.
Survivors include three daughters, Allene Stone of South Fulton, Jean Brown of Humboldt and Phyllis Martinez of Bolivar; a son, Phillip Brown of Jackson; two sisters, Josephine Smith of Bethel Springs and Maxine McKInnie of Como, Miss.; 10 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, Walter Robert Bryant and Cora Frances Chappell, four brother, Johnny, A.J., Robert and Norris Bryant and two sisters, Gertrude Lax and Mary Lou Jacobs.
