Clyde McAlpin, 58, of Bolivar, died Monday, October 3, 2005 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
The husband of Judy Lynn Jackson McAlpin, who survives, he was a truck driver for Dorris Gene Howell Sawmill and worked for the Sheriff’s Department for 20 years. Mr. McAlpin was born March 15, 1947 in Hardeman County, son of the late Cletus and Mary Katherine Doyle McAlpin and lived here most of his life. He served in the U. S. Army from 1969-72 including a short time in Vietnam. Mr. McAlpin’s family stated that he loved his grandchildren.
Services were 2 PM Thursday, October 6, 2005 at Shackelford Funeral Directors Bolivar chapel with Jim Madden, Jerry Snider and David Cox officiating. Burial was in Hebron Cemetery near Middleton.
In addition to his wife, whom he married December 20, 1968, survivors include daughter, Becky McAlpin and son and daughter-in-law, Todd and Paula McAlpin, all of Bolivar; sisters, Peggy Kiggins of Woodville and Mary Sedberry of Henderson; brother, Jimmy McAlpin of Toone and seven grandchildren, Diane, Ashley, Jessica, Amy, Jonathan and Rachel McAlpin and Blake Manley. He was preceded in death by his son, Junior McAlpin.
