Clyde Foster

Clyde Foster, Jr., 63, of Brighton, died Wednesday morning, September 20, 2006 at his home.



The husband of Glenda Ballard Foster, who survives, he was a factory worker, farmer and ran bo-weevil traps. Mr. Foster was born June 26, 1943 in Gossett, Arkansas, son of the late Clyde Foster, Sr. and Thelma Louise Parson Foster. He lived in Pocahontas for two years before making his home in Brighton in 2001, enjoyed woodworking and was Baptist in belief.



Services were 2 p.m. Saturday, September 23, 2006 at Shackelford Funeral Directors Middleton chapel with Craig Shackelford officiating. Burial was in Middleton City Cemetery.



In addition to his wife, whom he married April 30, 1964, survivors include one daughter, Sherry Gail Davis of Galesburg, Illinois; two sons, Jeffrey DeWayne Foster of Austin, Texas and Steven Lynn Foster of Chicago, Illinois; two sisters, Evelyn Wilbanks of Brighton, and Cindy Pountney of Columbia, Missouri; five brothers, Jerry Foster, Larry Foster and Jay Foster, all of Brighton, Charles Ross of Cape Girardeau, Missouri and Terry Lynn Ross of Washington, DC; two step-sisters, Joyce Meyers of Cape Girardeau, Missouri and Phyllis Ross of Sikeston, Missouri and three granddaughters, Emily, Amy and Sarah Davis.
