Clovis Howard

Clovis Raines Howard was born September 14, 1918 in McNairy County, Tennessee the daughter of the late Charlie Clay and Virgil Bosart Raines.She was united in marriage to Eldridge Samuel "Doc" Howard. Mr. Howard preceded her in death on December 1, 1977.Mrs. Howard taught school for 43 years in Hardin and McNairy county. She retired from the Hardin County school system as a librarian. She was a member of the Retired Teachers Association and the Lebanon United Methodist Church.Mrs. Howard departed this life on April 4, 2009 in Corinth, Mississippi at the age of 90 Years, 6 Months, 21 Days. She is survived by a daughter, Sandra Jones of Michie, TN; a brother, Roy Raines of Stantonville, TN; 2 grandchildren.In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Howard was preceded in death by three brothers, Harry Raines, Archie Raines, Charles Raines Jr.
