Clovis Brown Townsend Chamblee, 79, of Middleton, died Saturday morning, April 14, 2007 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
The wife of James Chamblee, who survives, she was a homemaker. She was born October 28, 1927, in Rogers Springs, daughter of the late Roy and Beulah Wilson Brown and lived here all of her life. She loved to work in her yard and with her flowers. Mrs. Chamblee was a member of Rogers Springs Church of Christ.
In addition to her husband, whom she married in 2003, survivors include a daughter, Doris Jean Townsend Britt of Middleton; a sister, Frances Ray of Middleton; two brothers, Lonnie Brown of Rogers Springs and Wayne Brown of Bolivar; three stepdaughters, Barbara Saghy of East Lansing, Mich., Sue Rainey and Kathy (Marion) Pulse, both of Middleton; a stepson, Robert Chamblee; and eight step-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, William Townsend in 1998 after 50 years of marriage; a sister, Marie Yancy and a brother, William Brown.
