Clifford Edward Wells

Clifford Edward Wells was born March 21, 1945 in Corinth, MS the son of the late Percy Taylor and Nancy Lorine Clayton Wells. Mr. Wells departed this life on December 10, 2017 in Henderson, Tennessee at the age of 72 Years, 8 Months, 19 Days.

Clifford grew up in Chester County, TN. As a very young man he worked doing body repair at Guinn Brothers Automotive for several years. He began his plumbing career working for C.C. Plumbing in Jackson where he worked for about 25 years. He then worked for Mike Robertson & Son Plumbing Company for about another 25 years until he retired. He enjoyed watching wrestling and he loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. He attended Antioch Baptist Church.

He is survived by a son, Clifford Timothy (Timmy) Wells and wife Sue of Henderson, TN; a daughter, Deonna Bennett and husband James of Finger, TN; a brother, Anthony Gene Wells; four grandchildren, Brad Wells, Kristi Wells, Cameron Flatt, Triston Bennett; three great grandchildren, Caleb Smith, Bree Wells and Bentley Wells.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Wells was preceded in death by two sisters, Jewell Faye Wells, Marilyn Davis; and a brother, James Wells.

Services will be held on December 12, 2017 at 1:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors-Johnson Chapel in Henderson, Tennessee, with Ken Kitchen officiating. Burial will follow in the Chester County Memory Gardens at Henderson, Tennessee.
