Cleophas Bearden
was born in Franklin County, Alabama on August 19, 1916 the son of the late Z. R. and Alameda Handley Bearden.
On November 9, 1942 he was united in marriage to the former Arlene Seaton, who preceded him in death on October 13, 1987.
Mr. Bearden worked as a farmer and was a member of Holland’s Creek United Methodist Church.
He departed this life on November 16, 2006 at Savannah Healthcare Center in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 90 years, 2 months and 28 days.
Mr. Bearden is survived by a son, Curtis Bearden of Savannah, Tennessee;
one grandchild, Marty Bearden; one great-grandchild, Kim Bearden;
one great-great-grandchild, Bailey Erin Wilson and a nephew, R. L. Allen.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Roger Bearden and 4 sisters: Fleaty Youngblood, Bunie Morrow, Ida Belle Franks and Eva Franks.
